The international organizations keep silent about severe water shortages in Crimea, as they opted not for human rights and supremacy of law, but for geopolitics. The opinion was offered by the Chairman of the Federation Council’s Interim Commission on Information Policy and Cooperation with the Media Alexei Pushkov in his interview to “The Crimean Magazine”.
“I think the international organizations keep silent (about severe water shortages in the peninsula, — editorial note), as they opted not for human rights and supremacy of law, but for geopolitics. This relates both to the PACE and Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE”, — Alexei Pushkov said.
He also added that in 2014 “the cynical geopolitics prevailed: it is not so important what is happening in Ukraine, the country must be supported, as it is against Russia”.
