Human flows from Ukraine to Crimea enlarged four times

At the session of the Operational Headquarters for preventing COVID-19 spreading, a Head of Regional Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing Nathalia Penkovskaya reported that after opening a border with Ukraine, a number of Ukrainian people wishing to cross the state border in Crimea have increased from 250 to 750-800 a day.

«After opening a border with Ukraine, a number of Ukrainian people wishing to cross the state border in Crimea have increased from 250 to 750-800 a day. Though an amount of arriving people reduced to 550-600 for the last several days, a level of incoming human flows is still high. Moreover, only 13 % of newcomers possess coronavirus health certificates», — Penkovskaya told.

According to her, those Ukrainian citizens who haven‘t granted their health certificates will be provided with injunctions for making COVID-19 tests on the territory of Crimea.  It‘s about 67 % of newcomers usually go through coronovirus tests and approve their results without problems in defined time frames.

Nathalia Penkovskaya noticed that citizens ingnoring injunctions will have to explain their decisions to the personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

«We start to bring untested people to the administrative responsibility. At this moment, we have already drawn up 69 such protocols», — the Head of Regional Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing mentioned.
