Exactly 2 billion and 300 million roubles will be applied to provide Crimea with sustainable water supplies. Such a decree was signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. 940 million roubles of that amount will be used for the reconstruction of the tunnel water conduit, which is located on the southern shore of the peninsula and 1 billion and 360 million roubles will be spent on major repairs of the water conduit in the Simferopolskiy District, as Crimean Information Agency reports.

The Reserve Fund of the Government of Russia will be the source of financial resources. The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia was charged with concluding an agreement with the authorities of the republic on providing a subsidy during 30 days.

“We expect that it will allow to ensure the reliable supply of drinking water to habitants of a number of districts of the Republic of Crimea”, — Mikhail Mishustin noticed at the government session.

Previously, the plan on ensuring of the reliable water supply of Crimea and Sevastopol at a total cost of 48 billion roubles had been approved. The document includes events linked to conducting repair works on water supply networks and constructing of the modern engineering infrastructure, which consists of water intakes, drainage systems and waste treatment facilities.
