The Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov published a message on his official VKontakte page that a tourist flow precise figure was 5,073 million of people.
“As at 1 October, more than five million of tourists have spent their vacations in Crimea for the last nine months. The precise figure of the general tourist flow is 5,073 million of people.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Resorts of the Republic of Crimea, our region received about 1,11 million of vacationers in September. Presently, an average accommodation occupation rate varies from 70 percent to 90 percent for this month. Last year, tourist accommodation facilities were occupied at around 44-50%.
Comparing September 2020 with the same period in 2019, we can say that a number of tourists travelling by car to Crimea increased 1,6 times. The total amount of car tourists is about 670 thousand of people.
Sanatoriums and hotels are also loaded up to 80 percent this October. Hotel rooms and apartments are actively booked for November and New Year holidays”, — Sergey Aksyonov mentioned.
