Tourist flow to Crimea has exceeded 6 million visitors since the beginning of the year, marking a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024. September alone saw 745,000 tourists visiting the peninsula, representing a 16% rise from last year's figures, according to Sergey Aksyonov, Head of the Republic of Crimea.
The majority of tourists – 62% – arrived via the Crimean Bridge by car or bus, while 23% opted for rail transport. Another 15% reached the peninsula through the historic regions.
«The South Coast attracted the largest share of visitors at 40.4% of the total. One-third of vacationers chose the western coastline, 15.6% preferred the eastern shores, and 11.4% visited the Simferopol and Bakhchisaray districts. The average occupancy rate for accommodation facilities in September reached 60%, which is 7.4% higher than the 2024 figure», Aksyonov noted.
The sustained growth in tourist numbers demonstrates the peninsula's continuing appeal as a destination, with improved infrastructure and diverse regional offerings contributing to the positive trend. The data suggests strong performance across all major tourist zones, from the popular southern beaches to the historic inland districts.
