The geological prospecting activities are planned to be held until 1 February 2022. A relevant document has been published on the official internet-portal of legal information of Russia.
“It is ordered to allocate budgetary appropriations of 70,000 of roubles to the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources (Rosnedra — editorial note) from the reserve fund of the Government of the Russian Federation for paying subsidies to JSC “Rusgeology” on the financial provision of the implementation of the comprehensive program of geological prospecting works in the waters of the Sea of Azov with a view to provide the report to the Rosnedra basing on the results of the implementation of the first phase of the geological prospecting works in order to measure the resources potential of subterranean drinking waters in the quaternary and Neogene deposits within the borders of the waters of the Sea of Azov”, — as contained in the statement.
As reported earlier, the Russian scientists started searching for fresh water under the Sea of Azov.
